Staying in Touch About COVID-19

Important safety information and current health guidelines for patients visiting our facilities.

Important Notice for All Patients: Tri County Hematology and Oncology Associates kindly requests that anyone coming to our facility wear facial covering and continue to practice social distancing. This is for the safety of our entire patient community, especially those who are immunocompromised. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Our Commitment to Patient Safety

With the ever-changing landscape of COVID-19, Tri County Hematology and Oncology Associates has been diligently adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Our primary obligation is to protect our patients — particularly those who are immunocompromised — from any unknown threats and complications that may arise.

It is our intention to provide a safe environment for every patient and staff member who enters our facilities. We remain committed to following all applicable health orders and updating our protocols as guidance evolves.

Current Health Order — Key Points

  • The Ohio Department of Health amended its remaining health order to conform to CDC guidance, which allows those who have been vaccinated to stop wearing masks in most settings.
  • Those who have not been vaccinated should still wear a mask and socially distance.
  • The CDC recommends that everyone wear masks when in a healthcare setting, when traveling on public transportation, and when at a business that chooses to require masks.
  • Ohio's order continues to require masking in congregate settings, such as our medical practice. As a healthcare facility, we are an exemption to the general mask-lift order.
  • Businesses may choose to require masking for employees and customers, and that is permitted under CDC guidance and Ohio's order.

Why This Matters for Our Patients

Many of our patients are undergoing cancer treatment, which can significantly weaken the immune system. For immunocompromised individuals, exposure to COVID-19 or other infections can have serious consequences. Our masking and social distancing policies are in place to protect these vulnerable members of our community.

We are grateful for the understanding and cooperation of all our patients and their families. Together, we can ensure that our offices remain a safe place for everyone who needs care.
